Emma’s Story
Emma’s career began in 1997 when, at 16 years’ old, she started her journey in the world of healthcare. She spent three years working with the elderly before starting her nursing degree and qualifying in 2002. She now has over 23 years’ experience as a nurse in different healthcare settings. She has predominantly worked as a practice nurse in various GP surgeries, but has also been a palliative care nurse, a school nurse, a parish nurse, and a breast awareness nurse.
In 2022, she started her own ear wax removal service as a side business and in 2026 she decided to leave the nursing profession and open Chalkwell Ear Care. Emma values working with people in an unhurried manner, listening to their needs and tailoring advice and treatment accordingly.
Emma strongly believes in holistic wellbeing and spends her spare time walking, writing, reading and practising yoga.
